Sugar Cookies

Servings 24 cookies

Ingredients  

  • 1 lb Butter, Unsalted
  • 450 g Sugar, Granulated
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 60 g Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 650 g AP flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions 

  • Cream butter and sugar in the bowl of a mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 min.
  • Scrape down sides and add eggs on at a time, allowing to almost fully combine before adding the next egg, vanilla and milk, combine completely.
  • In a separate bowl whisk together flour, salt, baking powder
  • Add dry ingredients to the eggs and mix until combined.
  • Flatten dough onto plastic wrap, making a large rectangle, this will make it easier to roll out the dough and cut your shapes! Chill the dough for a minimum of 4 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF
  • Lightly flour your surface and roll dough to desired thickness and cut out shapes.
  • Baking time will depend on thickness and shape, Check the cookies at 6 min and add 2 min at a time until cookies have a light golden edge.
  • Chill completely before decorating.
